Foundation Update

Much has happened since our last blog update in August, so we would like to let you know of all the amazing things that the Foundation has been doing over the last few months.

The work has continued to grow and we have enhanced our Matchday Experience to include lunch, goodie bags and great coaching. We have increased our coaching team with some great coaches and we are delighted that Andrew Alton is still overseeing this programme as often as work allows. Many Primary Schools have signed up to take part in the experience this year and the feedback so far has been fantastic.

We have also recently started Women's Recreational Football with the help of Durham FA. It runs on a Tuesday evening from 8pm-9pm at Education Village and has had a great start

In October Half Term, we ran a short football camp for those aged 5-13 and once again the feedback we have received from parents was excellent. We are blessed to have great coaches Chloe, Millie and Nicole as well as Sam Pascoe and others.

The work of the Foundation has expanded greatly in the 6 months that we have had an employed Manager and we have had to take the step of employing an assistant. We were delighted to have Sam Pascoe apply and take on the role in early October. Sam is overseeing Women's Football, Think With Your Feet and developing a couple of projects with Darlington Schools.

There's lots of other things going on too but we thought that a short update would help! If you feel like you could support the Foundation then please do contact our manager Barry Thompson on barry.thompson@darlingtonfcfoundation.org.uk
